AstrHori MF 27mm F2.8 Mark II APS-C Pancake Lens (Black / Gray) — 27mm Mark II APS-C Pancake Lens with Bright F2.8 Aperture, 160g

The AstrHori MF 27mm F2.8 Mark II is a Manual Focus APS-C pancake lens improved over the first version. Its 27mm focal length is equivalent to ~40mm on Full Frame, a Normal View close to human vision. The F2.8 aperture is bright enough for bokeh and low-light shooting. Internal Focus (IF) means the lens size doesn't change while focusing, and it weighs just 160g. Available in 2 colors: Black and Gray.

  • Bright F2.8 aperture: smooth, attractive bokeh (Background Blur) that makes your subject stand out, plus excellent light gathering for efficient shooting in low light or at night.
  • A versatile focal length for any situation (27mm): equivalent to about 40mm on Full Frame, close to the natural view of the human eye (Normal View). Ideal for portraits, street, food, night scenes and general video.
  • Small and lightweight (Pancake/Compact): a very compact lens at only about 160 g, easy to carry and no burden when shooting all day.
  • Internal Focus (IF): focusing happens inside the lens, so its size doesn't change while focusing. Operation is quiet and smooth, and it reduces the risk of dust entering the lens, extending its lifespan.
  • Good image quality: a 6-element, 5-group design with Multi-Coat lens coatings delivers sharp images and vivid colors.
  • All-Metal Body: the lens is made of metal, strong and durable, with a "vintage", high-quality feel in use.

  • Q: How is the Mark II different from the first version?
    A: The Mark II improves the Coating, Build Quality and Internal Focus System, and changes the lens colors to Black / Gray (the first version came in Black only).
  • Q: How is it different from the AF 27mm F2.8 (#1)?
    A: This model is Manual Focus, cheaper, handles nicely and has a Retro design, while the AF 27mm F2.8 has STM Autofocus + Eye Detect at a higher price.
  • Q: Why is there no Sony E / Canon RF version?
    A: The manufacturer focuses on systems with mainly Manual-Focus customers: Nikon Z / Fuji X / MFT / Leica M. For Sony E users, we recommend the AF 27mm F2.8 (#1), which is Autofocus, instead.
