Atomos AtomX CAST — Turn the Ninja V/V+ into a Portable 4-Camera Live Production Studio

AtomX CAST is a modular dock that plugs into the AtomX port on the back of the Atomos Ninja V or Ninja V+ and turns it into a "Ninja CAST": a 4-input HDMI switcher, Multiview monitor and broadcast-grade recorder in a single unit, with no computer required. It suits live streaming, seminars, podcasts and multi-camera shoots.

FAQ

  • Q: Does the box include a Ninja V monitor?
    A: No. The AtomX CAST is an add-on dock and must be used with an Atomos Ninja V or Ninja V+ that you already own.
  • Q: Do I need to install drivers to use it with Zoom or OBS?
    A: No. It connects over USB-C as a UVC device, so your computer sees it as a webcam straight away, with video up to 1080p30.
  • Q: What does it use for power?
    A: A DC adapter (6.2–16.8V), such as the one supplied with the Ninja V/V+. The CAST passes power on to the monitor. You can also use a D-Tap battery via an optional cable (adapter not included in the box).
