FAQ
-
Q: What is the difference between the M7 and M7 Pro?
A: The screen, ports, recording and other features are the same. The M7 Pro adds built-in wireless transmission and reception (TX/RX, 350 m range), while the M7 has no wireless system and suits a direct cable connection from the camera.
-
Q: What does it record to?
A: It records H.264 / H.265 files up to 4K60 to an SD card, USB drive or external SSD. Recording is up to 4K60 from HDMI input and up to 1080p60 from SDI.
-
Q: Can I get 4K over SDI?
A: No. The SDI port is 3G-SDI and supports up to 1080p60. For 4K, connect via HDMI 2.0, which supports up to DCI 4K60.
-
Q: What battery does it use?
A: It uses Sony NP-F550 / NP-F750 / NP-F970 batteries (not included), or can be powered via DC 6–16.8V or USB-C PD (PD 3.0 9V/3A, 12V/3A or 15V/3A). Power draw is about 12–28W depending on use.
-
Q: How do I live stream?
A: Connect to Wi-Fi, then set up a stream via RTMP or SRT to your chosen platform. Video from a camera connected via HDMI or SDI can go live directly.
