Brightin Star MF 28mm F2.8 Full Frame Pancake Lens for Leica M Silver with Mount Adapter (6 Mounts)

The Brightin Star MF 28mm F2.8 is a full-frame pancake lens for Leica M in Liquid Silver, only 9.9 mm thin and 125 g. This set includes an adapter for the mount you choose, so it works with Sony E, Fuji X, Fuji GFX, Nikon Z, Canon RF and L-Mount cameras.

Key Features

  • Only 9.9 mm thin (protrusion from the mount) and 125 g, an ultra-thin pancake lens you can keep on the camera every day
  • Solid brass body that feels sturdy and dense in the hand
  • Liquid Silver finish: satin chrome plating with a polymer coating for a smooth metallic surface
  • Rangefinder coupling for real focusing through the Leica M viewfinder, hand-calibrated one by one
  • Stepless F2.8–F16 aperture with smooth adjustment, well suited to video
  • 6 elements in 5 groups, including 3 high-refraction elements and 1 ED element
  • Classic 28mm field of view, wide enough for storytelling, with zone focusing for quick street shooting
  • Thin 1 mm brass UV filter (sold separately) that keeps the pancake profile slim
  • Includes an M-mount adapter for the mount you choose: Sony E / Fuji X / Fuji GFX / Nikon Z / Canon RF / L-Mount

Best For

  • Street and travel photography
  • Mirrorless shooters who want the thinnest possible lens
  • Leica M users who also shoot mirrorless

FAQ

  • Q: Does it cover the full frame on Fuji GFX?
A: The lens is designed for full frame, so on GFX you may see dark corners. Cropping or using the camera's 35mm mode is recommended.
  • Q: Can I use it on a Leica M camera?
A: Yes. The lens has a Leica M mount with rangefinder coupling, so just remove the adapter and it is ready to use.
  • Q: Can the lens cap and the UV filter be used together?
A: No. Brightin Star states that the lens cap and the UV filter cannot be used at the same time, so you need to choose one or the other.
