NiSi 77-82mm Swift System UV IR Cut Filter

NiSi 77-82mm Swift System UV IR Cut Filter is a UV filter from NiSi, the professional filter and accessory brand. Built for photo and video work that demands high quality, it delivers precise results and stands up to heavy use in the field. Cuts UV below 390nm + IR above 700nm — Removes out-of-band light that causes color shifts while preserving the full visible spectrum, for sharp images and true-to-life color

Key Features

• Cuts UV below 390nm + IR above 700nm — Removes out-of-band light that causes color shifts while preserving the full visible spectrum, for sharp images and true-to-life color
• Fixes the magenta cast (Color Cast) when using ND — On cameras without an IR Filter in front of the sensor, adding ND often produces an off magenta/brown color; this filter helps keep White Balance correct
• Smart Push-to-Fit system — No screw thread on the lens side; it "presses on" to the True Color VND 1-5 stops in a second, for filter changes fast enough for any film set
• Optical-grade glass — Quality glass that does not reduce image sharpness
• Nano Coating repels water, oil and dust — A special nano-coated surface wipes clean easily, and water droplets roll right off
• Expands the Swift system instantly — Add this to the True Color VND 1-5 stops and you get a VND 1-5 stop with built-in IR-CUT
• Anti-reflective multi-coating (Anti-Reflective) — Reduces flare and ghosting for clear images with good contrast

FAQ

• Q: Does a UV filter degrade image quality?
A: No, not with high-quality multi-coated glass like this. The effect on sharpness is barely measurable, while it genuinely protects against scratches and dust
• Q: Do I need to remove it when shooting into the light?
A: Generally no, but if strong light hits the lens directly and you see unusual flare, taking it off can help
