The Portkeys BM7 II-DS is a 7-inch camera monitor for professional production. It displays 10-bit color (8+2 FRC) at 1920×1080 with up to 2,200 nits of brightness, staying clearly visible even in direct sunlight. Factory calibrated to cover 100% of Rec.709 and 85% of DCI-P3, it can serve as a reference display for on-set color decisions. It has the I/O for multicam work — 2 × 3G-SDI inputs, 1 × HDMI input, 1 × HDMI output and 1 × 3G-SDI output — with Cross Conversion between formats and split-screen viewing of two sources at once. A full set of tools includes Waveform, Vectorscope, Anamorphic, Peaking and ARRI False Color, with 3D LUT display and 3D LUT output via SDI so other devices see the same image. Its standout feature is camera control — it is RED approved for wireless control of RED Komodo and V-RAPTOR cameras, as well as most Sony and Blackmagic Design cameras, and offers wired control of RED, Sony, Canon, Panasonic, BMD and ZCAM E2, plus wired control of the TILTA Nucleus N/M wireless follow focus. It features built-in dual Sony NP-F battery slots and industry-standard 2-pin LEMO and 5.5mm barrel connector 7.4V–24V power inputs (D-Tap cable included). The rugged aluminum body weighs just 460 g, and you can set a jpg still image as a freeze-frame on screen.
