FAQ

  • Q: The lens has no focus ring. Can I focus manually?
A: No. The lens is autofocus only and does not support Manual Focus. Aperture is adjusted from the camera's dial as usual.
  • Q: Does it work with APS-C cameras?
A: Yes. The Sony E mount works with APS-C cameras such as A6400 / A6700 / ZV-E10, and the Nikon Z mount works with Z50 / Zfc. The field of view narrows to approx. 75mm equivalent, making it better suited to portraits.
  • Q: Does Eye AF work on every camera?
A: It uses the camera's Eye AF / Face Detection system. Available functions depend on the camera model and its firmware.
  • Q: Can it be used for video?
A: Yes. The STM motor is quiet and focuses smoothly, but the lens has fairly noticeable Focus Breathing (the image zooms in/out slightly when changing focus). For video with frequent focus changes, try enabling the camera's breathing compensation (if available).
  • Q: How do I update the firmware?
A: Attach the supplied rear lens cap, connect a USB-C cable to your computer, then use the firmware file from the TTArtisan website.
