ZhongYi Mitakon Speedmaster 65mm F1.4 — f/1.4 medium format standard lens for Fujifilm GFX and Hasselblad XCD

ZhongYi Mitakon Speedmaster 65mm F1.4 A manual-focus prime for medium format cameras, giving a field of view equivalent to a 50mm lens on full frame. Its wide f/1.4 aperture delivers depth of field equivalent to about f/1.1 on full frame, ideal for portraits, lifestyle and low-light shooting. 11 elements in 7 groups, including 2 HRI and 2 UD elements to reduce chromatic aberration. Available here in 2 mounts: Fujifilm G (the lighter GFX II version with an 11-blade aperture) and Hasselblad XCD. 1-year Official Thai Warranty.

Key Features

• 65mm natural perspective — 46° angle of view, close to a 50mm lens on full frame, suited to portraits, people and general shooting
• Extra-bright f/1.4 — f/1.4–f/16 aperture range handles low light well without pushing ISO high
• Depth of field equivalent to about f/1.1 — The medium format sensor gives a sharp subject against a blurred background, clearly separated from the scene
• Soft, creamy bokeh — Backgrounds melt away smoothly with natural blur transitions
• 11 aperture blades (GFX II version) — Out-of-focus highlights stay round even when stopped down (the XCD version uses 9 aperture blades)
• Soft, airy rendering — Gentle, atmospheric rendering rather than hard sharpness, suited to artistic portraiture
• 2 HRI + 2 UD elements — Reduce chromatic aberration and resolve detail for high-resolution sensors
• Metal body; GFX II version about 150 g lighter — Down to about 900 g from 1,050 g, sturdy and easier to carry
• Built-in retractable hood (GFX II version) — Blocks stray light and flare, with no hood to lose
• Manual Focus — Precise control of the focus point, with an aperture ring on the lens

FAQ

• Q: Which mount should I choose?
A: Choose based on your camera — for interchangeable-lens Fujifilm GFX cameras choose Fujifilm G (GFX II); for Hasselblad X2D, X1D, X1D II and 907X choose Hasselblad XCD. The two mounts are not interchangeable.
• Q: How does the GFX II version differ from the original?
A: The optics are the same (11 elements in 7 groups), but the lens is about 150 g lighter at around 900 g, now uses an 11-blade aperture, and the filter size changes to 67mm.
• Q: What filter size does it use?
A: The GFX II version uses 67mm filters and the XCD version uses 72mm. If you already own 72mm filters and use the GFX II version, you can use a 67→72mm step-up ring.
• Q: Does this lens have autofocus?
A: No. It is a fully manual-focus lens. We recommend enabling Focus Peaking or using viewfinder magnification to focus, especially at f/1.4 where depth of field is very shallow.
