ZhongYi Zone T1 35/50/75mm Cine 3-Lens Kit — Full Frame cine lens set, T1.0 across the set

ZhongYi Zone T1 35/50/75mm Cine 3-Lens Kit is a Full Frame cine prime set from Zhongyi Optics (Mitakon) with 3 lenses: 35mm, 50mm and 75mm. Each has a maximum aperture of T1.0, a 16-blade iris and a 46mm image circle covering Full Frame and VistaVision sensors. The primary mount is PL, with an EF bayonet included that you can swap yourself. All three share the same body size, matched gear positions and a common 110mm front filter. The set suits cinematographers and production teams who need low-light capability and cinematic shallow depth of field. 1-year Official Thai Warranty.

Key Features

  • 3-focal-length prime set: 35 / 50 / 75mm — 35mm for wide storytelling shots, 50mm for medium shots and 75mm for close-ups or portraits, covering a full narrative production
  • T1.0 on every lens — About 1 stop faster than typical T1.4 or T1.5 Full Frame cine lenses, for better low-light performance and very shallow depth of field
  • 46mm image circle covers Full Frame and VistaVision — Works with Full Frame and VistaVision sensor cameras, with room left for cropping
  • 16-blade iris — Bokeh stays round even when stopped down, out-of-focus areas melt smoothly, and flare has a distinctive character
  • Low Focus Breathing — The frame barely grows or shrinks when racking focus, ideal for focus pulls between actors or in interviews
  • PL mount with EF bayonet included — Primary PL mount, standard on cinema cameras, with an EF bayonet included for every lens, plus shims and a hex key for swapping mounts yourself
  • Standardized body across the set — Every lens measures Ø132 × 137.8mm with a 114mm front diameter, 0.8 MOD gears and matched focus and iris gear positions, so you can swap lenses without moving the Follow Focus or Matte Box
  • 270° focus throw — Long throw lets the 1st AC pull focus precisely with a Follow Focus; focus scales in meters and feet on both sides of the lens
  • 110mm front filter thread on every lens — Use one filter set across the kit, compatible with pro-grade Matte Boxes
  • Lens Support for every lens — Each lens weighs about 3 kg, so a detachable lens support (3/8" thread) is included to reduce load on the camera mount

Best For

  • Feature films, series and short films that need a shallow T1 look
  • Music videos and commercials shot in low light or natural light
  • Production houses and rental shops that need a T1 prime set for PL or EF cameras
  • Full Frame or VistaVision camera users such as ARRI, RED, Sony VENICE or Canon Cinema EOS

FAQ

  • Q: Should I use PL or EF mount?
A: Choose based on your camera's mount. PL is used on cinema cameras such as ARRI, RED and Sony VENICE, while EF is for Canon Cinema EOS EF models or other EF-mount cameras. Mirrorless cameras can be used via a PL or EF adapter. The kit includes EF bayonets, shims, screws and a hex key for all 3 lenses.
  • Q: How big is the difference between T1.0 and T1.4 or T1.5?
A: T1.0 gathers about 1 stop more light than T1.4, roughly twice as much, allowing lower ISO in the dark and very shallow depth of field. At T1.0 on Full Frame the focus plane is extremely thin, so a Follow Focus and a focus puller are recommended.
  • Q: Is it sharp wide open at T1.0?
A: At T1.0 the lens renders softly, with slight glow around highlights and edges less sharp than the center, which is normal for lenses this fast. Sharpness improves noticeably when stopped down. In this set, the 75mm is the sharpest wide open.
  • Q: Can it be used with VistaVision Open Gate cameras?
A: Yes. The 46mm image circle covers typical VistaVision sensors. For the RED V-Raptor X 8K VV in 17:9 Open Gate mode, with a diagonal of about 46.3mm, the manufacturer notes slight soft vignetting in the corners.
  • Q: Each lens weighs 3 kg. What extra gear do I need?
A: Use the included Lens Support (3/8" thread) attached to a 15mm or 19mm rod system to carry the lens weight. This set is better suited to mid-size to large cinema cameras than small mirrorless bodies. One 110mm filter set works with all 3 lenses.
