ZhongYi Zone T1 Full-Frame Cine Lens 35mm / 50mm / 75mm — T1.0 cine lens covering VistaVision, PL mount with EF

ZhongYi Zone T1 FF Cine Lens (Zhongyi Optics, also known as Mitakon) is a manual-focus cine prime for Full-Frame and VistaVision cameras. Every lens has a maximum aperture of T1.0 Image Circle 46mm an iris of 16 and a Focus Throw of 270° It comes with a PL mount as standard, plus an EF mount in the box for swapping yourself. Available here in 3 focal lengths: 35mm, 50mm and 75mm, with the same body size, gears and filter thread across the set for instant lens swaps on set. 1-year Official Thai Warranty

Key Features

  • T1.0 at every focal length — Brighter than most Full-Frame cine lenses at T1.4–T1.5, gathering light well in the dark and giving very shallow depth of field that clearly separates subjects from the background
  • 46mm Image Circle covers Full-Frame and VistaVision — Covers the full-frame sensors of most cinema cameras. Even on the RED V-Raptor X 8K VV Open Gate 17:9 (46.3mm diagonal), the brand notes only slight soft vignetting in the corners
  • 16-blade iris, round bokeh — Bokeh stays round even when stopped down, with smooth, cinematic background blur
  • Characterful flare — Designed to produce soft flare when backlit, adding mood to highlights while retaining contrast
  • Low Focus Breathing — The image barely zooms in or out while focusing, for smooth focus shifts ideal for interviews and narrative work
  • Standard PL mount + EF mount in the box — Use on PL cameras right away or swap to EF yourself. The Flat Rear design gives clearance on cinema and mirrorless cameras
  • Standardized across the set — 114mm front diameter, 110mm filter thread, 0.8 MOD gears and matched gear positions on every lens, so you can swap lenses without moving the Follow Focus or Matte Box
  • 270° Focus Throw, dual-side scales — Long rotation for precise focus pulls with a Follow Focus; meter scale on one side and feet on the other, readable by both the operator and the assistant
  • Good close focus — Minimum focus 0.6m / 0.52m / 0.7m (35/50/75mm), maximum magnification 0.12x / 0.16x / 0.05x
  • Lens Support in the box — Each lens weighs about 3kg, so a lens support is included to reduce load on the camera mount

Choose the focal length for your work

35mm T1.0 (72° diagonal angle of view) Moderately wide, capturing both subject and surroundings; ideal for tight spaces, interiors and Establishing/Medium Shots
50mm T1.0 (43.5° diagonal angle of view) Standard focal length close to human vision, versatile, with the closest focus in the set (0.52m)
75mm T1.0 (33.5° diagonal angle of view) Short telephoto with perspective Compression and strong background blur, ideal for portraits and facial close-ups

Best For

  • Short films, series, music videos and commercials that need a cinematic shallow-focus look
  • Low-light shooting such as night scenes, interiors or candlelight
  • Interviews and narrative work that need low Focus Breathing
  • PL or EF cinema cameras with Full-Frame / VistaVision sensors, rigged with a Follow Focus

FAQ

  • Q: Which focal length should I get first?
A: If you can have only one, the 50mm is the most versatile and focuses closest in the set. For tight spaces or showing the surroundings, choose the 35mm. For close-ups and strong background blur, choose the 75mm.
  • Q: Can I swap from PL to EF myself?
A: Yes. The box includes the EF mount, shims, screws and a hex key. We recommend having an experienced user or technician do the swap, and checking infinity focus after every change.
  • Q: Can it be used on mirrorless cameras such as Sony E or Canon RF?
A: Yes, via a PL or EF adapter to your camera mount (focus and aperture are fully manual). As the lens weighs about 3kg, always use a rig with rod support and the included Lens Support.
  • Q: Is focusing difficult at T1.0?
A: Depth of field is very shallow, especially on Full-Frame sensors. We recommend a Follow Focus with a monitor that has Focus Peaking. For daytime outdoor shooting, use a 110mm ND filter or a Matte Box so you can shoot wide open.
  • Q: Does it fully cover VistaVision / Open Gate sensors?
A: The 46mm Image Circle covers Full-Frame and VistaVision. For very large sensors such as the RED V-Raptor X 8K VV Open Gate (46.3mm diagonal), the brand notes slight soft vignetting in the corners.
