FAQ
-
Q: Is there really no need to adjust gain?
A: Yes. The preamps use dual A/D converters combined with 32-bit Float recording, so they capture both quiet and loud sound without setting gain, and the audio won't clip.
-
Q: How many mics can I connect?
A: You can connect 2 XLR mics (with +48V phantom power for condenser mics). The remaining inputs are 1/4" line inputs for keyboards, instruments or stereo sources.
-
Q: Can it be used for live streaming?
A: Yes. Connect via USB-C to a computer, iOS or Android device to use it as a 12 in / 4 out audio interface, and bring computer audio back into the mix.
-
Q: How long do the batteries last?
A: Recording all 12 tracks, alkaline batteries last about 3 hours and lithium about 7 hours. For long sessions, the AD-17 adapter or a power bank via USB is recommended.
-
Q: What sample rate does it record at?
A: It records and works as an audio interface at 48 kHz only, the standard for video and streaming.
