Zoom ZDM-1 Podcast Microphone · XLR Dynamic · Supercardioid · Built-in Shock Mount

Zoom ZDM-1 — large-diaphragm dynamic podcast microphone with Supercardioid pickup and an all-metal body

Zoom ZDM-1 Podcast Microphone · XLR Dynamic · Supercardioid · Built-in Shock Mount A large-diaphragm dynamic microphone delivering broadcast-quality voice for podcasting, live streaming, singing and instrument recording. The Supercardioid pattern rejects sound from the sides, so less room noise reaches the mic and multiple mics can be placed close together. It handles sound pressure levels up to 135 dB SPL. An internal shockmount reduces handling noise and vibration, and a Humbucking circuit cuts electromagnetic interference. The body and grille are all metal. Connects via XLR. Comes with a windscreen and a pivoting mic stand mount. Official Thai Warranty

FAQ

• Q: Can it connect to a computer via USB?
A: Not directly. The ZDM-1 uses an XLR connector, so it needs an audio interface, mixer or recorder with an XLR input, such as the Zoom PodTrak P4 / P8.
• Q: Does it need phantom power?
A: No. It's a dynamic microphone and works without phantom power.
• Q: Is it suitable for noisy rooms?
A: Yes. The Supercardioid pattern rejects sound from the sides, reducing the room noise picked up by the mic. Speak close to the mic and face it directly.
• Q: Can it be mounted on a stand or boom arm?
A: Yes. A pivoting mic stand mount is included, along with a European thread adapter.
