The Brightin Star MF 50mm F0.95 II Full Frame (Mark II) is a 50mm standard lens with a view close to the human eye, giving natural-looking portraits. Its biggest selling point is the F0.95 aperture: excellent light gathering in the dark, extremely soft bokeh and a pronounced shallow depth of field. Manual focus allows precise focus placement at F0.95. The high-quality optical design of 10 elements in 9 groups, with 2 ED + 4 HR elements, delivers sharp images with well-controlled CA. Aluminum alloy body, strong and lightweight.

  • Q: How does the Mark II differ from the original Night Eyes (#20)?
    A: The II has a redesigned optical formula with 2 ED + 4 HR elements for better sharpness and CA control / Night Eyes is the original version.
  • Q: Is F0.95 on full frame worth it?
    A: Absolutely. The Brightin Star costs about 10 times less than a Leica Noctilux. The quality differs, but the look and bokeh are close.
  • Q: Is manual focus at F0.95 difficult?
    A: It is fairly challenging because the DOF is very thin. We recommend using your camera's focus magnify feature.
