7Artisans MF 28mm F5.6 Manual Pancake Lens for Leica M — ultra-slim pancake for Leica M Series, zone focusing for street shooters

The 7Artisans MF 28mm F5.6 is an ultra-slim pancake lens for Leica M rangefinders. The 28mm wide-angle focal length is a favorite for street photography and documentary work. Its fixed F5.6 aperture is designed for zone focusing — set the distance and shoot instantly. Brass/copper construction in the style of classic lenses.

Key Features

  • 28mm focal length (Wide Angle): a popular wide angle for street photography and documentary work, capturing the surroundings and context of a scene in full
  • Fixed f/5.6 aperture: the key feature, designed for zone focusing without frequent focus adjustments thanks to a very deep depth of field, making street photography fast and natural
  • Ultra-slim, compact design (Ultra-Compact): very small and thin, keeping your Leica M compact and agile — ideal for carrying everywhere and shooting discreetly
  • Leica M mount (Full-frame): designed specifically for Leica M Series cameras for a seamless fit with the rangefinder system
  • High-quality construction: the body is made of metal (Brass/Copper), giving a solid, substantial, premium feel in the tradition of classic lenses

FAQ

  • Q: Which Leica M cameras is it compatible with?
    A: All Leica M rangefinders, including the M3, M6, M9, M10, M11 and M Monochrom.
  • Q: Can I use it on a mirrorless camera with an adapter?
A: Yes. Use a Leica M → Sony E/Nikon Z/Canon RF adapter and it works as a manual lens.
  • Q: How does zone focusing work?
A: Pre-set the focus distance, e.g. 2-5m, and let the F5.6 DOF cover the range — shoot instantly without focusing.
