7Artisans MF 75mm F1.25 Manual Portrait Lens for Leica M — F1.25 Portrait Lens for Leica M with Extreme Bokeh and 13 Aperture Blades

The 7Artisans MF 75mm F1.25 Leica M is the first lens in the 75mm F1.25 series. Its ultra-wide F1.25 aperture creates razor-thin DOF and creamy bokeh that makes your subject stand out, while 13 aperture blades render beautifully round bokeh. Its rendering comes close to expensive premium lenses with the same specs, at far better value.

Key Features

• Extreme Large Aperture f/1.25:
• Powerful bokeh: creates an extremely thin, beautiful shallow depth of field that melts the background into creamy bokeh, making your main subject pop from the background with depth and appeal
• Low-light performance: gathers light exceptionally well even in dim conditions or at night, letting you use a lower ISO for better image quality
• Ideal Portrait Focal Length (75mm):
• The 75mm focal length is perfect for portraiture — it keeps facial proportions natural and makes it easy to exclude unwanted elements from the frame
• Premium Build & Precise Mechanics:
• All-metal lens body with a reassuring heft that feels as solid and durable as a classic lens
• Focus and aperture rings turn smoothly and precisely (Manual Focus), giving you sharp control over your focus point
• 13 Diaphragm Blades:
• The unusually high blade count keeps bokeh balls beautifully round at every aperture (especially at f/1.25)
• High-quality Full-Frame lens at an accessible price:
• Rendering close to expensive premium lenses with the same specs, at a price photographers can actually afford

FAQ

• Q: How does it differ from the Mark II (#41)?
A: The Mark I has 13 aperture blades / the Mark II has 12 and adds ED + HR elements
• Q: Is it really better value than a Leica Noctilux?
A: On price, yes (it is far cheaper), but the Leica Noctilux is still superior in sharpness and character
• Q: Is manual focusing at F1.25 difficult?
A: It is fairly challenging because the DOF is very thin; you need to get comfortable with the rangefinder to nail focus
