DZOFILM Octopus Adapter II is a mount adapter that lets PL cinema lenses work on Full Frame Mirrorless cameras in Sony E, Canon RF, Leica L and Nikon Z, so one PL lens serves several camera systems. The aluminum alloy body with stainless steel mounts weighs only about 190 g yet withstands up to 100,000 mount changes. Assembly precision of 0.01mm gives native-mount stability. Flange distance is factory calibrated, so Infinity focus is correct right away with no further adjustment. Internal space is 7.12% larger, accepting a wider range of lenses, both Prime and Zoom. Supports S35, Full Frame and Medium Format. The removable 1/4"-20 foot shifts the center of gravity to the adapter and takes load off the camera mount. A new grip design with direction guides makes mounting and removal easier than the previous generation.

  • Q: Do I need to adjust Back Focus myself?
    A: No. Flange distance is factory calibrated, so Infinity focus is correct right away. Just mount and shoot.
  • Q: Does it support every PL lens?
    A: Support is broad. The II version adds 7.12% internal space, so it fits a wider range of lenses, both Prime and Zoom, including lenses with a protruding rear element.
  • Q: Is the 1/4"-20 foot necessary?
    A: It helps a lot with heavy Cine lenses, because it moves the load point to the adapter instead of the camera mount, reducing the risk of mount damage, and it can be removed when not needed.
