AstrHori MF 6.5mm F2 APS-C Circular Fisheye Lens 192° — Class-Leading F2.0 Fisheye with a 192° View

The AstrHori MF 6.5mm F2 is an APS-C fisheye with an exceptionally wide F2.0 aperture — much brighter than typical fisheye lenses — giving excellent light gathering for star photography and low-light scenes. Its 192° view creates dramatic curvature, and a minimum focus distance of just 0.2m makes a beautiful "Crystal Ball Effect" possible. All-metal body weighing only 268g.

Key Features

  • Edge-of-the-world 192° view: a circular fisheye (round/curved image) with a 192-degree angle of view, wider than typical fisheye lenses, creating strong curvature and dramatic stretched-perspective effects. Great for creative work, skateboarding/extreme sports and vlogging.
  • Very bright F2.0 aperture: an exceptionally wide f/2.0 for a fisheye, gathering light extremely well for low-light shooting such as astrophotography and night scenes.
  • "Crystal Ball Effect": with a very close 0.2 m (7.9 in) focus distance combined with the fisheye view, you can shoot small subjects up close while the background curves into a miniature sphere.
  • Small and lightweight: the all-metal lens weighs only about 268 g and is compact, ideal for anyone who wants a creative lens that is no burden when traveling.
  • Smooth bokeh: 9 aperture blades help produce round, soft bokeh.

Best For

  • Astrophotography and the Milky Way (F2.0 gathers more light)
  • Skateboarding / extreme sports / action-cam style
  • Creative vlogging that needs an extremely wide view
  • Close-up Crystal Ball Effect shots
  • Street art / creative work with an unusual perspective
  • Interiors or very low-light conditions

FAQ

  • Q: How is F2.0 on a fisheye better than typical F2.8 / F3.5 models?
A: F2.0 gathers 1 stop more light than F2.8 and ~1.8 stops more than F3.5 — very important for stars, the Milky Way and low light.
  • Q: What is the Crystal Ball Effect?
A: An effect created by using the 0.2m MFD to get very close to the subject, so the fisheye view bends the background into a sphere around it — popular in creative photography.
  • Q: Can it be used on Full Frame?
A: Yes, but you will see heavy black edges (vignetting) because the lens is designed to cover only the APS-C image circle. We recommend APS-C cameras for the full view.
