AstrHori MF 18mm F8 APS-C 2X Macro Probe 90° View Switching Lens — 2-in-1 Macro Probe Lens That Switches Freely Between Direct and 90° Views

The AstrHori MF 18mm F8 APS-C Macro Probe 90° Switching is the step-up version of the Macro Probe lens, adding the ability to switch freely between Direct View and 90° Periprobe View. It is ideal for video work that needs a change of angle without moving the lens. With 2X (2:1) magnification, a waterproof tip, a 10-level LED light and Sapphire Glass, it is a serious production tool.

  • Manual lens (MF): focus and aperture are set by hand.

  • Q: What is Periprobe View (90°) used for?
    A: It turns the probe's view 90° (a right angle) from the lens axis, ideal for angles where you can't insert the lens straight on, such as shooting a flower from the side or through a small opening.
  • Q: How do I switch between Direct / 90°?
    A: Rotate the mechanism at the lens tip to switch views. You can do this while shooting without changing lenses, ideal for cinematography that requires shot changes.
  • Q: How is it different from the standard Macro Probe (#8)?
    A: This model adds 90° angle switching (Periprobe); the standard model offers Direct View only. It costs about 1,000 baht more than the first model, but is far more capable.
