7Artisans MF 18mm F6.3 Mark II Pancake APS-C Lens — Ultra-thin APS-C pancake lens, as light as a body cap

The 7Artisans MF 18mm F6.3 Mark II is an ultra-thin pancake lens about the size of a camera body cap. Its fixed F6.3 aperture means you can pick up the camera and shoot without adjusting anything. The 18mm focal length is equivalent to ~27mm on full frame, ideal for street and travel shooting where mobility matters. Mark II adds a manual focus ring that adjusts from 0.3m to infinity.

Key Features

  • Ultra-Thin Pancake Design: The lens is small and about as thin as a camera body cap, keeping your camera remarkably light and easy to carry. Ideal for street photography and travel when you want to keep weight down.
  • Instant Capture: With a fixed f/6.3 aperture, there is no aperture to worry about. Just raise the camera, focus and you are ready to shoot.
  • Versatile Focal Length: 18mm (approx. 27mm full-frame equivalent) gives a comfortably wide view, suited to street, landscape and everyday shots that capture the surrounding scene.
  • Upgraded Mark II Design: Adds a manual focus ring with a clicked focus ring that lets you set focus from 0.3 m to infinity, for more precise and flexible use.

Best For

  • Street Photography
  • Travel
  • Daily carry
  • Body cap lens for a lightweight setup

FAQ

  • Q: Why is the aperture fixed at F6.3?
A: It is a pancake designed to be as thin as possible. There is no F-stop to set, so it is ready to shoot the moment you pick it up, which suits street photography.
  • Q: How is Mark II different from the original?
A: Mark II adds a manual focus ring that adjusts from 0.3m to infinity, while the older version has fixed focus.
  • Q: Can it replace a body cap?
A: Yes. Its weight and thickness are close to a body cap, so you can keep it on the camera as a body cap lens.
