FAQ

What is a Reflex / Mirror Lens?
A lens that uses mirrors in place of some glass elements, achieving a long telephoto focal length in a much smaller body. The trade-off is a fixed, non-adjustable aperture.
When does Donut Bokeh appear?
It comes from the lens's mirror construction and is most visible with points of light in the background, such as street lights, stars or reflections on water.
Can I use it on mirrorless cameras?
Yes. Use an M42-to-E, M42-to-Z or M42-to-RF adapter to mount it on Sony, Nikon Z, Canon RF and other cameras.
Why is F5.6 fixed and not adjustable?
It is a limitation of reflex lenses. The mirror construction cannot accommodate conventional iris blades, so the aperture is fixed.
