7Artisans MF 9mm F5.6 Manual Wide Angle Full Frame Rectilinear Lens — A 9mm Full Frame Ultra-Wide Rectilinear Lens with a 132° View and Straight, Sharp Lines

The 7Artisans MF 9mm F5.6 Full Frame Rectilinear (not a fisheye) delivers a 132° field of view while keeping straight lines straight. Ideal for landscape, architecture and astrophotography where realism matters. Special elements (2 ASPH + 2 ED) reduce chromatic aberration, 10 aperture blades produce crisp sunstars when stopped down, and the MFD is 0.2m.

Key Features

  • Extreme 9mm Full-Frame width with a 132° angle of view, ideal for landscape and astrophotography where you want to capture as much of the scene as possible
  • Not a fisheye (rectilinear): designed for low distortion, keeping straight lines straight — well suited to architecture
  • Optical quality: the optical design includes special elements (2 ASPH and 2 ED) for high sharpness and good control of chromatic aberration (CA)
  • Video friendly: a manual focus lens with a de-clicked aperture ring on some versions, for smooth exposure changes while filming
  • Creative imaging: focuses as close as 0.2 m and produces crisp 10-point sunstars when stopped down
  • Value and mount support: all-metal, durable body at an accessible price, available for Sony E, Canon RF, Nikon Z and L-Mount

FAQ

  • Q: How is it different from a fisheye?
A: A rectilinear lens keeps straight lines straight / a fisheye curves every line — for architecture you need rectilinear.
  • Q: Can I shoot stars at F5.6?
A: Yes. The extra-wide 132° view captures the Milky Way across almost half the sky, and it works well even at F5.6.
  • Q: When do I get 10-point sunstars?
A: Stop down the aperture (F11+) to get crisp, attractive 10-point sunstars — great for night cityscapes.
