7Artisans Vision Cine 12mm T2.9 Manual Cine APS-C Lens — APS-C 100° Wide-Angle T2.9 Cine Lens with 270° Focus Throw, ED Glass, 0.8 MOD Gear, 6 Mounts

7Artisans Vision Cine 12mm T2.9 is a wide-angle cinema lens for APS-C cameras. The 12mm focal length is equivalent to about 18mm on full frame, giving a 100° angle of view for landscapes and wide scenes. The T2.9 aperture handles low light well with soft background blur. A long 270° focus throw allows precise focus control, ED glass reduces chromatic aberration, and the 0.8 MOD cine gear connects to a follow focus. De-clicked aperture ring, 82mm filter thread, 9 aperture blades, 12 elements in 10 groups, and a sturdy metal body weighing approx. 602 g.

FAQ

  • Q: What is the difference between T-stop and F-stop?
A: T-stop measures the actual amount of light transmitted through the lens, while F-stop is a theoretical value. Cinema work uses T-stops so exposure matches across every lens
  • Q: What are the benefits of a 270° focus throw?
A: The long ring rotation divides focus distances finely, making focus pulls precise and repeatable, ideal for pull-focus work
  • Q: Can I use it on a Full Frame camera?
A: The lens is designed for APS-C / S35. On a full-frame camera you need to enable crop mode
