Blackmagic Design ATEM Mini Extreme — 8-Camera Live Switcher, All in One Unit

Blackmagic Design ATEM Mini Extreme is a switcher and live streaming unit with 8 HDMI inputs, so it can connect up to 8 cameras at the same time. It has a full control panel on the unit and broadcast-level features such as SuperSource, 4 Chroma Keys and a 16-window Multiview. It can stream over RTMP by itself without a computer, or send video out as a webcam over USB. It suits live streams, seminars and show production.

Key Features

• 8 HDMI Inputs Connect 8 independent cameras, with support up to 1080p60. Every input converts format and re-syncs automatically, so cameras of different models and frame rates can be mixed.
• Built-in Streaming Engine Go live directly over Ethernet to YouTube, Facebook Live, Twitch and other RTMP-compatible platforms.
• USB Webcam Output Send video out as a webcam to Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Skype right away, with no driver needed.
• 4G / 5G Phone Support Connect an iPhone or Android phone over USB to stream using mobile internet, and use it as a backup connection. If the main Ethernet connection fails, the unit switches to the phone automatically, and it charges the phone during the live stream.
• Advanced Keying 4 Upstream Keyers, 2 Downstream Keyers, up to 4 Chroma Keys, 4 Linear/Luma Keys and 6 DVEs, with up to 9 layers of compositing.
• SuperSource Arrange several cameras on one screen (up to 4 boxes), suited to interview shows and podcasts.
• 16-View Multiview See all cameras, Preview, Program and Media on one screen through the 2 HDMI Aux outputs.
• 20-image Media Pool for graphics, logos and lower thirds, supporting PNG, TGA, BMP, GIF, JPEG and TIFF.
• Fairlight Audio Mixer Adjust 6-band EQ, compressor and limiter on every channel. It has 2 x 3.5mm mic inputs and a headphone jack for audio monitoring.
• Camera Control (CCU) Control supported Blackmagic cameras such as the Pocket Cinema Camera and Studio Camera from the switcher, including color grading, iris, focus and gain.
• Record to USB disk Record the Program signal as H.264 files directly to a USB-C drive.

FAQ

• Q: Can I go live without a computer?
A: Yes. Connect a LAN cable and enter the Stream Key in the software the first time. After that, press the ON AIR button on the unit to go live.
• Q: Does it work with Zoom or OBS?
A: Yes. Plug the USB-C cable into a computer and the unit appears as a webcam right away, ready to select in the program.
• Q: How does this model differ from the ATEM Mini Extreme ISO?
A: The ISO model records separate files for every input along with a DaVinci Resolve project file so you can re-edit later. This model records only the Program signal.
