Blazar Beetle 65mm T3.2 1.33X — Compact Full Frame Anamorphic Lens with Built-In Vertical Shooting Rotation

The Blazar Beetle 65mm T3.2 is a 1.33X pancake-style anamorphic lens for Full Frame mirrorless cameras. It delivers a cinematic widescreen look, silver flares and oval bokeh in a lens weighing only 290 grams. Its key feature is a 90° rotation dial that switches between horizontal and vertical anamorphic shooting without rotating the camera, so it works for both film projects and social content.

Key Features

  • Full Frame anamorphic lens with a 65mm focal length, suited to natural-looking portraits or shots where you want to bring the subject slightly closer
  • 1.33X squeeze factor gives a widescreen anamorphic look with silver flares and oval bokeh
  • Fixed T3.2 aperture for smooth, cinematic background blur
  • Manual Focus (MF) with a 200° focus rotation for fine, precise control of the focus point
  • Built-in 90° Rotation dial switches the squeeze between horizontal and vertical instantly, supporting both film work and vertical social content
  • Standard 0.8 MOD gears, ready to use with follow focus systems
  • Weighs only ~290 grams, with a 55mm filter size and a 60mm front diameter
  • Available in 4 mounts, Sony E, Canon RF, Nikon Z and Leica L, which attach directly to the camera without an adapter

Best For

  • Cinematic portraits and beauty shots
  • Music videos / commercials / short films
  • Vertical content for Reels, TikTok and Shorts in an anamorphic look
  • Location shoots and travel films that call for lightweight gear

FAQ

  • Q: What kind of image does a 1.33X anamorphic give?
A: The lens squeezes the image horizontally by 1.33 times. When you de-squeeze it in editing, you get a cinematic widescreen image with oval bokeh and the long streak flares that are characteristic of anamorphic lenses.
  • Q: Do I need to rotate the camera to shoot vertical video?
A: No. Press the 90° lens rotation dial to switch the direction of the squeeze, and you can shoot vertical anamorphic right away with the camera staying in its original orientation.
  • Q: How is a T-stop different from an F-stop?
A: A T-stop measures the amount of light that actually passes through the lens, including losses from the lens elements and coatings, while an F-stop is a theoretical value. Cinema work therefore uses T-stops so that exposure matches across lenses.
